In The Beginning
1951
American Income Insurance Company was founded with $25,000 of borrowed capital by Company President Harold Goodman and his nephew, Bernard Rapoport, who originally chartered an office in Indianapolis, Indiana. Today, AIL is one of the nation’s largest providers of supplemental life insurance to labor unions, credit unions, and associations. AIL’s growth is sustained through high customer satisfaction, innovative lead programs, customer referrals, and a lucrative compensation program.

When AIL representatives visit customers in their homes, they ask for a donation of non-perishable foods to help stock local food banks. Each holiday season, local offices collect toys for children in need. When disaster strikes, AIL is on the front lines to help provide what is needed.
